Subject:Picture, was; Removing engine, WAS; How high do I lift the wee beastie?

993269 is the number you put into the search window on TheSamba home page.
I must admit, the winch position on the picture is for the transmission
lifting. For the engine it would need to be almost in the middle.
One more thing; when you are taking the engine out, after you have lifted it
enough, you would want to pull it backward. Now, if you pull too much, the
front end of the fixture will fall off if you don't attach a little leg that
would stop it. It's not visible on the picture because it's on the other
side toward the back. It would just prevent too much sudden shift. That's
one reason why I wrote to rest it on "two 2x6". On the picture, they are
only 2x4s. The ones I sell are 2x6s.
But make your own. You can even take them with you on vacation with the
winch and the chains. Chains from Home Depot.
Now, that's enough of this.
