Actually, I've never been hasseled with my Virginia antique plates. However, this time I was required to show that I own another vehicle as my primary mode of transportation. In other words, I could not own just ONE vehicle in the state of Va. with antique plates. this presented a problem for me since my "other" vehicle is my company car, which I do not "own". Luckily, I remembered my 17 yr old daughter's New Beetle, which does happen to be registered in my name. Plus, being in the brotherhood of Vanagoners, our club activities include camping and similar use. It's hard to imagine that being a priority for any law enforcement official. I was more concerned about the insurer but the policy stipulates less than 7,500 miles annually. We'll see how it goes.
