Eastwood sells a paint called Aluma-Blast. Makes aluminum surfaces look clean and blasted. There are other similar products. Do you really think those machine shops heads are cleaned to look the way they do? Then to make it last you can do a clear on top. The factory actually used that cosmoline type wax to control corrosion. At the risk of starting a hate war - it is still 74 here after dark - lovely day - come on over anytime. Need your advice again, on how I make my "new" (old) engine look really good. I have sprayed lots of "Purple Power" degreaser on it and scrubbed lots of oils and various filth from the engine but there are still areas of junk around. I suppose a tooth-brush would help get into those little corners but I see photos of rebuilt engines with lots of peripherals painted different colors. I know if I remove these bits and have them sand blasted - they would look nice with a fresh coat of heat-proof paint but are there any re-finish/paint boffins out there who have any suggestions please. Stay warm. Peter M Naples FL
