but how can one have a 'factory SVX Synco' ? VW is not going to put in any japanese engine . Closest I've ever heard of is Porsche putting a 911 engine into a Vanagon ..syncro one I believe, . for a Paris-Dakar type support vehicle. does seem slightly fishy that the price on this SA red syncro is low, and year is not mentioned.. and you would expect an engine picture . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jake de Villiers" <crescentbeachguitar@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2010 6:22 PM Subject: Re: very cool van >I agree Scott - that's like a factory SVX Syncro, with only 50,000 miles on > it! ;) > > And its a red one... > > On Wed, Dec 1, 2010 at 4:54 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans < > scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > >> that price sounds too low. >> worth double that easily. >> yep ..you're right ..currency converter says 22,766.47 USD >> >> that is strangely low. >> >> >> >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Michael Rasmussen" <michael@JAMHOME.US> >> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> >> Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2010 4:28 PM >> Subject: Re: very cool van >> >> >> On Wed, Dec 01, 2010 at 06:57:38PM -0500, JordanVw@AOL.COM wrote: >>> >>>> http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=893943 >>>> >>> >>> About $23,000 (USD) >>> >>> >>> -- >>> Michael Rasmussen, Portland Oregon >>> Trading kilograms for kilometers since 2003 >>> Be appropriate && Follow your curiosity >>> http://www.jamhome.us/ >>> The Fortune Cookie Fortune today is: >>> Find something you love, dream it and do it. >>> ~ Kent, Mountain Turtle, Peterson >>> >> > > > -- > Jake > > 1984 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX - 'The Grey Van' > 1986 Westy Weekender/2.5 SOHC Subie - 'Dixie' > > Crescent Beach, BC > > www.thebassspa.com > www.crescentbeachguitar.com > http://subyjake.googlepages.com/mydixiedarlin%27
