Dear Volks,

*AS ALWAYS* we request that matters of this nature be taken up with
the moderators in private.  Community watchdogs are welcome;
community watchdogs posting to the list are not.

We've been saying this since we started moderating the list two years
(almost) ago with very close to zero effect.* We have been loath to
put people on review or suspension, and in fact the sole disciplinary
action we've taken in that time has been the dismissal of one
member. However, if it's necessary to take such actions in order to
prove that we're not fooling about this matter, we will. All those
inclined to complain on list please consider this a warning.

*Qualification: The number of people complaining on list has greatly
decreased. We'd like to believe that that's because there is less to
complain about. However of the people complaining, the percentage
who follow proper procedure and complain to the moderators instead of
the list is very small.

Best regards,
David
