Don't use anything too harsh to clean the inside of the lens, you don't want to damage the reflector surface. Regular Windex should do the trick pretty well. Here are a couple posts from thesamba: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=179098 <http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=179098&highlight=lens+clea ning> &highlight=lens+cleaning http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=378845 <http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=378845&highlight=lens+clea ning> &highlight=lens+cleaning Most of the time a good cleaning and buffing with a soft terrycloth towel will do the trick for the outside of the lens. If it is really bad, you could try a glass polishing kit: http://www.eastwood.com/professional-wind-shield-headlight-kit.html?srccode= ga030170 Good luck, Jay -----Original Message----- From: Marius Strom [mailto:marstrom@microsoft.com] Subject: RE: Vanagon rear lights and the pathetic headlights Hi Jay - what's the recommended procedure to clean the outside/inside of these glass lenses? I've been struggling with that - mine have a milky sheen to them. I can find 3M products to deal with plastic lenses, but I'm not finding anything listed for glass -- especially the inner surface.
