I carry a slider with me under the rear cushion. It is a re-cycled folded sign that once advertised motor oil. It's made of a plastic corregated material that is slippery enough to slide on and provides a modicum of cushioning. Plain cardboard works in a pinch but isn't slidey enough. Weighs about a half pound, stows neatly, doesn't require a jack to use, (safety issue), waterproof, non toxic, won't pinch your leticibles, easily replaceable, recyclable, can be painted on one side to enhance ones social status.
