This has nothing to do with profiling but once driving through Nevada in the
Vanagon, I missed a posted speed sign and the cop had me nailed fair and
square.
Pulled me over and asked for reggie and driver's license and was going to
write me up.
Then he looked at my license and said:
"Your an Organ Donor"?
In BC there was a time when that was indicated on your drivers license in
bold print.
"Yes" I replied "Yes I am".
The mood changed.
I detected the wheels churning that someday a police officer, injured in
line of duty, may be the beneficiary of such a decision.
He gave me a warning and that was all.
I'm convinced it was because I was a Organ Donor!
