Brian, that sounds remarkably like the ignition switch. Search the archives! You can also go to thesamba.com vanagon forums and search. There you will find a step by step. Good luck! BTW Never leave home without a spare ignition switch! Miguel He who possesses art and science has religion; he who does not possess them, needs religion. I came back 5 or so minutes later and took off for work & flipped the headlights on. I noticed that it was mighty dim so I stopped and checked, sure enough no lights. I hopped back in and notice I had no heater blowers either, so I tried the rest of the electrical and had no wipers or A/C blower. All the low draw items worked ~ horn, interior lights, running lights, door locks and pwr windows. > > I was wondering what say the masses on this ghost in the machine? > > It was like this until I shutdown / restarted and hasnt come back since. > > Thanks in advance, > Brian > > > >
