This one has me confused. I'm going to look at it tomorrow but for now, I
figured it's easier to sit inside in the warmth, and pick your brains.

The sliding door on my '85 won't close/latch.
It used too.
I know that the front bearing on the roller assembly that is halfway up the
door (Not the top or bottom guilde), is gone. It blew up at some point and
fell out. For a while, i've had to close the door carefully, pushing on the
back edge of the sliding door.

It simply will not latch now. It opened while driving, scaring me quite a
bit. And I had to drive home with the door tied to the front door through 2
open windows. That's too cold to be reasonable. I know I need a new sliding
door roller system, but was hoping to put it off untill I had some
money..... apparently that's not going to wait though. So first off, does
anyone have one they could sell for a good price?
And secondly, does anyone know if this alone would cause the door not to
latch, and if so....WHY?!
