Not a Vanagon, but a Ford pickup, model circa '80s, lived near me for a decade (still does). Though it was driven, during that time it grew a cottonwood sapling in the bed, roots somewhere down amongst or below a layer of beer cans several deep that took up a good bit of the cargo space. The little tree died this past summer during the drought. It is still there, though, in skeletal form. I don't know the neighbor who drives this truck, but he is a friendly sort, always having a cheerful greeting when I am out and about. mcneely ---- Angus Gordon <birdworks@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > Of all the places in the USA for a Vanagon owner to live, surely the Pacific > Northwest grows on you most... > > http://www.wordless.me/2011/01/blog-post_19.html > > > Angus Gordon > Bainbridge Island WA -- David McNeely
