I have a '91 Audi 80 Quattro that has been very enjoyable to own and drive. This week it developed a small leak in the fuelline from the tank to the engine compartment. The line is steel and has rusted enough to begin leaking. I got a price for a replacement steel line from a dealer, $260.00 plus installation. I was told that since this was the high pressure side they are not allowed to replace the line with a rubber line. I notice however that Vanagons us rubber fuel lines . Does anyone have an opinion regarding replacing my steel fuel line with the much cheaper, and easier to fabricate rubber line ? Sam Pacifico
