Yah those banjo players. Sheesh. ;) I can't believe the amount of times I've cooked with the slider open, back and forth with beer in hand, **somewhat oblivious to possible scenarios involving rampant raccoons, beat the doors down bears or other wildlife. I've never carried bear spray, but may do so in the future. Neil. ** I do pay attention for wildlife. Just depends on where I am. Like the hot tub in Jackson Wellness Hot Springs. <grin> On Fri, Feb 11, 2011 at 8:27 PM, Jake de Villiers < crescentbeachguitar@gmail.com> wrote: > Dixie has been to Alaska 5 times with the previous owner, so she came with > a bear spray holster attached to the driver's seat belt receptacle! > > We cook outside the van so reeking of bacon isn't so much of a problem - > unless you count having banjo players hanging around hinting! ;) > > > On Fri, Feb 11, 2011 at 7:57 PM, neil n <musomuso@gmail.com> wrote: > >> As per the ad on CL, my Westy came "camping ready". >> >> Along with the token K/F/S and plastic plates, it c/w bear bells. >> >> >> > > -- > Jake > > 1984 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX - 'The Grey Van' > 1986 Westy Weekender/2.5 SOHC Subie - 'Dixie' > > Crescent Beach, BC > > www.thebassspa.com > www.crescentbeachguitar.com > http://subyjake.googlepages.com/mydixiedarlin%27 > > -- Neil Nicholson '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-cylinder-gas-engines
