forgot to mention, the matched price includes road hazard coverage, and of course regular rebalancing and rotations. Interesting. I just took them the price I got off the internet, waited until they quoted me a price, then told them what I had found. They matched. Bottom line, I got the tires, mounting and balancing, road hazard coverage, no shipping charge, all for what I would have paid for the tires alone had I bought them online, and I would have had to pay shipping. Maybe it won't happen next time. mcneely ---- Jeff Lincoln <magikvw@gmail.com> wrote: > Not to dispute what Mcneely said about Discount but they will not always > match prices. > > When I got tires last spring (Genral Altimax 205/14) I was able to talk them > down based ont he price from Tire Rack but they would not completely match > the price - and they still charged for mounting and balancing (although they > rolled that into the "matched" price so total came to just over what Tire > Rack would have cost). > > I have a feeling that it really depends on where you are and what you're > ordering - mostly though I've been very please with Discount - espescially > their service. > > -- > Thanks, > > Jeff > '85 GL (Gertie) > '90 Carat (Grover - the noble parts donor) > '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus -- David McNeely
