We can still get the 15/50 Mobil 1 at Wally World up here in IA, but haven't checked the price lately, but last I looike3d it was still in the $22-25 range for the big jug.. I change oil once in the spring and once in the fall and I haven't exceeded the mileage numbers yet due to the price of gas. I've switched to the Castrol Hi Mileage 10/40 oil and the Mobil 1 filter as per Dennis' research report he found(for filters anyway). What's been hard to find is the thicker straight weight oils. My Boston Bob motor has 130k on it and is approaching its 10 year anniversary. No HG leaks yet, but compression is slipping and oil leaks preclude expensive oil in the crankcase. Oil pressure is still well above the 10#/1k rpm number however. DM&FS At 10:26 PM 3/4/2011, John Rodgers wrote: > Yes, running these machines in really hot climes requires that higher >number oil.
