Well, it happened again, and this time I got a very positive indication that Yes!!! it is the ignition switch. Came a big rain, I had to go somewhere in the middle of it, started the engine, wipers would not work. Turned the wipers on, jiggled the ignition switch vigorously - and the wipers started working. Can't get any plainer that the switch has gone crapola. Soon's I'm over this nasty respiratory infection, I'm on it. No need to put this off any longer.
