pretty strange .. that page looks like it's copied from Overland's page. Same prices even. Perhaps he's a dealer for them ? on that page, I question the claim that a 1.9 NA can do 75 mph with stock gearing . it would have to turn about 6,500 rpm in an 82 diesel vanagon to do that. the engines max out at about 5K rpm of course. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ken Wilford" <kenwilfy@COMCAST.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Monday, March 14, 2011 1:20 PM Subject: Re: Diesel conversion > Check out this guy's site: > http://www.vanagain.com/conver1.htm > > He has some cool stuff I have heard :-) > > Ken Wilford > John 3:16 > www.vanagain.com > > > On 3/14/2011 12:15 PM, TJ Hemrick wrote: >> I'm looking for up to date sources for whom can provide parts/services >> (loom >> work, immobilzer, etc.) for doing a diesel conversion (in my case a VW >> 1.9 >> TDI).
