It took enormously longer to write than it would to do.  Dive in,
you'll see it isn't so bad.  The elapsed time (for me) to do what
I've talked about so far would be five minutes max, and most of that
would be hunting for someplace to clip the ground lead on the
meter.  It will take you longer of course, but not that much
longer.  Really. :)
