Vanagons are popular in the Pacific Northwest..for any number of reasons. One of those reasons is that it is often necessary to stay inside, out of the rain or snow. I'd advise anyone considering relocating to the Northwest to factor in the winter season, perhaps visit here (I spend about 10 mos. per year here in the NW) during the months other than summer. It's often really gorgeous, but it can truly suck, weather-wise, for months at a time. There is a reason just about every other RV or camper you see in the Southwest US between Oct. and May has Oregon, Washington or BC plates.... The amount of rain and clouds can vary greatly, also, dependent on your east/west location. I've been back here for two weeks, located on the Dry Side of the mountains, and it still has rained much of every single day.. Not really vanagon content...other than they are good places to hang out when in the Northwest.
