I have just finished re-installing my fuel tank.  I pulled the tank to do the crossover tube replacement and found the top of my tank was rusted.  A new tank was ordered and was a pleasure to put in.  As im putting everthing back together I thought I would pull the expansion tanks off to clean behind them (and they needed it).  I found the pax side nipple on the cap of the expansion tank had broken and the hose wasn't even connected.
Any harm in operating with it broken until I source a new one?  I cant really think of any problems.  also - any list vendors or other suppliers of the plastic insert/connector that I have broken?
