Dunno if this is common knowledge or not, but would like to know if this

Can be used with our Vanagon wheels? I.e., are do the wheels have
sufficiently large holes in them to pass the strap through?

Yes, I could go outside and pop the hub caps off my wheels, but I would
still wonder if there are any "gotchas" I didn't see.
