I drive one. Am I a good driver? Well, I do all the things that you guys cited that good drivers do. What gives with the Prius driver bashing? I drive a Prius because I am a responsible person, who recognizes that the earth and its resources are finite, and that I, especially if other of the citizenry will cooperate, can make a difference in how fast we wear our support system out. I could go on about how irresponsible drivers drive, what kinds of vehicles and so on. Oh, well. > > So far as the air bags, they are not for failing to check warning lights. They are for when something goes wrong, whether beyond the control of the driver or not. I wish my camper had them. I'd feel better about putting my family in it. >> >> I bet most people never even glance at >> the dash till they have their belts fastened > > I fasten my seat belt before I do anything else when I get in my vehicle, including starting the vehicle. That is how I taught my daughter when she was a child. Now she is a 37 year old mother who teaches her child the same way. That does not mean that I don't examine the instrument panel of the vehicle I am driving for warning lights and other indicators. > > Good grief!! > > mcneely
