Actually "24-C" is an 82 Vanagon Pickup, but "24" is used throughout the Fiche/ETKA to cover the Van and Pickup. Vans are actually "25" (25-C-117944 - The C is for 1982 model years, the last 6 digits is actually VIN for that model year). When I do VIN splits on parts listed on the Airhead website, I always insert "25" instead of "24" to keep from confusing a Van owner when he or she tries to decipher their VIN. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Thu, Apr 14, 2011 at 9:45 AM, neil n <musomuso@gmail.com> wrote: > "24-C-117944" > > Is that model year code? > > I guess the dealership will have up to date info on these parts. > > Neil. > > > >> On Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 9:22 PM, David Beierl <dbeierl@attglobal.net> wrote: > > > >>> Bolt 251 407 053 A cheese head bolt, M12x1.5x105 - says up to 24-C-117944 >>> also use 251 407 133 A. > > > -- > Neil Nicholson '81 VanaJetta 2.0 "Jaco" > > http://tubaneil.googlepages.com/ > > http://groups.google.com/group/vanagons-with-vw-inline-4-cylinder-gas-engines
