Add in an ammeter shunt on the ground return of each battery and, with a bit more circuitry and code, you'd have yourself amp and amp/hour displays. Volts are well and good, but they are a secondary effect to the real show which is the I of Ohm's Law. I wonder if this fellow is planning on making a product to sell to the five or eight Westy owners who would enjoy the sheer geekiness of such a thing? I'd be tempted. I already have a panel voltmeter, the battery combining bits, an analog center-zero ammeter, and a very nice battery monitor -- all rigged up to my big Trojan deep cycle house battery, but I'd get a kick out of having everything measured and displayed on one cool little panel on the stove front.
