how do you do a trace on an email like that ? Sounds like a useful thing to know. He sent me the same e-mail scam, a trace showed it originated in Bucharest, Romania. Since I seem to be the only one local here to flag it, it's not enough to get it removed. --- On Tue, 5/3/11, BenT Syncro <syncro@GMAIL.COM> wrote: From: BenT Syncro <syncro@GMAIL.COM> Subject: 1982 Diesel Westy in CL for $2300 is another scam To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Date: Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 2:08 PM For you folks who look at Craigslist on a regular basis, the ad below is for a phishing scam: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/2359144069.html Typical scam. Claims it's a rush sale saying he is a service in California but got assigned to the UK but now going to Iraq. Then says he is using "eBay" services for showing the vehicle and arranging the financial portion of the deal. Then asks for full name, address, tel# blah, blah, blah. This guy deserves a spammer flag on Craigslist. BenT
