Subject:Re: auxiliary battery power to cab?

What year?

My '81 Westy did not have an aux. battery. Fused wire in aux battery
box supplying power from 30 (starter battery via fuse panel) to
kitchen appliances, was cut. Forward running portion from "new" aux.
battery moved to S7; an unused "accessories" fuse. Supply jumper wire
from S9 to S7 was removed, end taped. At panel, moved dome light/ign
key buzzer supply wire from S8 to fused side of S7. (buzzer
decommissioned) Radio connects there too. CB connects to supply side
of S7 as it has it's own fuses.

Whatever fuse you use at fuse panel to take power from the aux.
battery, be sure that power from starter battery isn't supplied to it
via a jumper or internal connection in fuse panel. (internal
connection shown as a thin line in Bentley)

Looking at Marks post, maybe my "new" wire running from aux. battery
to S7 should be fused at/near battery. I figured the fuse at S7, and
fuses downstream to CB would take care of that need.
