Hi Peter,

Big groups are fun to see, but I think each even has its tipping point.
BusFusion has been up around 180 buses lots of times, and sometimes
(2006) less than 80 on weekends with poor weather.

Running Buses of the Corn for 10 years has taught me that it isn't
really about the weight of German metal an event attracts. It's the
human component that makes the event worthwhile.

BOTC started with about 10 buses, then went to 25, then 40, then 60.
Lately it has fallen back to around 40, and I am totally OK with that.

Bus events are unique combinations of habitat and personalities and they
each evolve differently depending on the migration patterns of the bus
community around them.

If there's good weather and the price of fuel drops back a bit, 180
buses wouldn't surprise me at all.

Happy Trails,
