Thanks, Karl. I don't think hitches are made with great precision but they have to be close enough. In my experience, there is always a certain amount of persuasion needed to fit those large course thread bolts even when the holes are a perfect match. But the differences between the Landcruiser towball and the one David measured is quite a bit. I thought about making the holes oval but that would weaken the hitch not to mention there did not appear enough material on either side. David's measurement of his hitch adapter is markably different from the one on the website that Karl referenced below. Which one is correct for the SA hitch? I bought a standard bolt on tow ball and it is immediately apparent that the holes are too far apart. Here's what I gathered: >> 3 3/8" or 85.725mm (from Karl's link)3 3/4" or 95.500mm (David's meas.) >> 1 3/4" or 44.450mm (from Karl's link)2 1/4" or 57.150mm (my calculation) 57.125mm (David's measure 58.128mm ments) >> >> >> Regards, >> BenT >> >> >> >> On May 24, 2011, at 12:05 PM, Karl Ploessl <karl.ploessl@gmail.com> wrote: >> >> years ago I got the following which I could mount onto the SA hitch >> (one of the last ones from Busdepot): >> >> http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/hirefj.html >> >> >> Karl. >> >> On Tue, May 24, 2011 at 3:04 AM, BenT Syncro <syncro@gmail.com> wrote: >> Does anyone know where I can get either a receiver adapter or a towball/hook for the SA tow hitch?
