Scott, I no longer hoard Vanagons. I now have one turbo Subie powered 84 and the previously mentioned 85 Westy Weekender. Those will soon enough be one 'The Long Weekend'. Dokas aren't technically Vanagons so not counting those. So you like stripper models? Well, dancers or models, doesn't matter. You probably couldn't catch one in a Vanagon.;-) BenT sent from my electronic leash On Jun 3, 2011, at 12:45 AM, "Scott Daniel - Turbovans" <scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > interesting. > I like stripper models. > Don' see many of them. > I once had a bare bones Renault 5 aka Le Car. . > seat back angles didn't adjust, > no vent windows. > rubber mats, > never had a radio in it. > Went real good though ..named it Zippy. > > now you're gonna ruin the purity of it with a tach ! ...lol. > > how many vanagons ya got ? > I'm at 13 ...two personal, 5 parts vans and 6 seller vans. > what fun. > Scott > ----- Original Message ----- From: "BenT Syncro" <syncro@GMAIL.COM> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Friday, June 03, 2011 12:28 AM > Subject: Re: aftermarket tach > > > Not sure if this is true for all of them. This '85 Westy Weekender is the most stripped version I have ever seen. No swivels. Didn't even have a radio or antenna. > > > BenT > > sent from my electronic leash > > On Jun 2, 2011, at 11:04 PM, "Scott Daniel - Turbovans" <scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > >> oh don't worry .. >> it'll work out. >> You might have to run a new wire is all. >> >> Would you remind me please .. >> does a Weekender have a swiveling passenger's front seat ? >> I think not. >> it's a good thing to add though. >> thanx, >> Scott >> >> ----- Original Message ----- From: "BenT Syncro" <syncro@GMAIL.COM> >> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> >> Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2011 3:45 PM >> Subject: Re: aftermarket tach >> >> >> Slightly deviating from the topic. My 85 Westy Weekender rear stretch donor had no tach. My 84 Vanagon GL front donor does have the previously mentioned black faced tach. Now I'm getting concerned that the tach wiring might be missing on the Weekender... one more thing to worry about. >> >> >> BenT >> >> sent from my electronic leash >
