Subject:Re: Rear Side window slider now at GoWesty

Ben--

You bring up an interesting point; did the SA Vanagons with the shorter side
windows have the sliders on the rear side window?

I've only seen the sliders in pictures and then only on the later model SA
Vanagons with the larger side windows.

The idea that there's a treasure trove of short side windows in South Africa
sparks my interest.
Although all in all I think your point is valid that all the jumping around
involved in making your own slider or importing one is probably
a lot more of a PITA than buying one from GoWesty.

Also, just FYI, if it hasn't been mentioned here yet; GoWesty has said while
they only have the driver's side rear slider right now, they will offer the
rear slider window for both the driver and passenger side shortly. They did
mention there may have to be a fix to keep the sliding door from being
opened when the
the rear sliding window is open so limbs and heads hanging out that window
wouldn't be cut off by the sliding door. :0

In fact even on the later SA Vanagons I'm not sure if they had a sliding
window on the same side as the sliding door. Time for some internet
searching.

Jeff
