Couldn't really say. But it did happen with me. I discovered my battery was dead, and the only thing running was that clock. I had let the van sit for several weeks unstarted, so the battery was never charged. The constant electrical drain of the clock eventually killed it. Jut took charging the battery again to get it going. But it is never a good thing to kill a battery completely. It causes permanent changes int he chemistry of the battery from it never really recovers. Makes the battery weaker, doesn't hold the charge as well, etc. John John Rodgers Clayartist and Moldmaker 88'GL VW Bus Driver Chelsea, AL Http://www.moldhaus.com On 6/7/2011 9:42 PM, Jonathan Poole wrote: > How long does it typically take for the clock to run the battery down? > > Thanks, > > Jonathan > > > On Tue, Jun 7, 2011 at 10:32 PM, John Rodgers <inua@charter.net > <mailto:inua@charter.net>> wrote: > > I don't have an answer about the blinker issue, but the rundown on > the battery coudl be caused by the clock, which is a continuous > draw unless the battery is disconnected or the fuse is pulled. > > Good luck. > > John > > John Rodgers > Clayartist and Moldmaker > 88'GL VW Bus Driver > Chelsea, AL > Http://www.moldhaus.com > > > On 6/7/2011 8:54 PM, Jonathan Poole wrote: >> Howdy List, >> >> I have a question about the blinkers on my '83 AC Westy.
