RE: Toothpaste For Fine Polishing
50+ years ago used toothpaste the polish out a badly scarred plastic watch
crystal, in fact still have that watch.  And would you believe also used
toothpaste to polish the valve seat inside the mechanical fuel pump on a '60
Mercedes to keep it running because I didn't have the $50 for a new pump?
But a warning:  Toothpaste on the market today may not do the job, different
stuff coming out of the tube.  Guess that depends on the brand/style.  YMMV
