That is an amazing story, amazingly told.  And it brought me right
back to the spring of '73 when I was driving around the Beltway to
pick up my first adult cat, a black half-Siamese I named Hepzibah,
who was way too smart for everyone's good.

Someone came up behind with their brights on.  I flashed them with
mine, and they dropped back alongside and aimed a pistol at us!  We
blew a tire getting out of the way in a hurry...
