Here's the deal. My AC system isn't, for all practical purposes. The Compressor has been out for several years. The system is open - ie, the two pipes at the compressor are not plugged. Stuff is just hanging. I've gotten a new compressor, new receiver/drier and a new and a complete conversion kit - all seals, valves, oil - will be here Tuesday. And of course there is R134a on hand. I want to get it right by the book. Then after that - I might consider switching to an alternative refrigerant with a lower operating head pressure. But that's for later. Now is now. Just wondering how some of the more AC experienced member Volks would recommend that I proceed. And - what should I used to flush the system before hooking up the compressor.
