No need? Horse hockey. Using the bulb type data from my '84's owner's manual, and not counting the bulbs in the dash: 4 x type 1034 bulbs (2 front parking, 2 rear tail), assuming the lower wattage filaments are lit @ 1.34A each = 5.4 amps 2 x type 1816 (rear side markers) @ .33A = 0.66 amps Total: 6 amps/hours. You leave those on overnight, say 12 hours, and you've pulled 72 amp hours out of the battery. I'm keeping my buzzer wired thankyouverymuch. -- RJS On 07/28/2011 02:28 PM, Old Volks Home wrote: > The Headlight OFF feature with Ignition OFF was introduced in 1971 > model year on Beetles, Ghias, Buses, Type 3s and Type 4s.
