is acceptable in a rebuilt power steering pump? I just installed a new
pump on OL' Red, my 88GL daily driver, and the pump is nearly as loud as
the one I took off the van. The old one was really growling, and the new
one is only a bit better - still loud. This is a Beck/Arnley rebuilt and
I've had good success with that product line, but this particular one
sucks!!

Any ideas on what sound levels are acceptable for rebuilt pumps?
