These are the Bosch 09180 wires. Originally for 83.5-84 Wassers, they modified the connectors at the distributor end to work with both the 03010 (non pin) and 03212 (as well as the 03214) distributor caps. Airhead sells 'em: http://www.airheadparts.com/vintage-vw-parts/ignition-wire-set/ignition-wire-set-bosch-09180 The advantage of the pin-only style wires is there are resistor supressors on the connectors to the distributor cap as well as at the spark plug ends (Bosch 09272 wire set or 200 998 031 D wire set). -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" 75 914 1.8 "Nancy" Full Timing Since March 1999 oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Wed, Aug 10, 2011 at 7:20 PM, Karl Mullendore <tdiguru@westyventures.com> wrote: > IIRC, at one point Bosch was making plug wire sets with an end connector > that would work with both cap types.
