For power steerers, too, for that matter. I recently implemented a tip that Unca Joel gave me a while back--install one of those stitch-on lever covers over your Vanagon steering wheel and you will love it. But there's more: the additional grip adds just a little bit to the girth of the wheel, but the ability you gain in grasp makes the wheel seem about four inches larger in diameter, or expressed another way, like you need 20% less effort to steer. Power of suggestion? You decide! but it's a pretty cheap experiment. I used Wheelskins brand. Takes about two hours. Jim
