I have a strange problem on a 85 vanagon clutch.
driving down the road the clutch suddenly engages at the bottom of the pedal travel not the top like normal.
Going down a steep hill at the time, basically shifts ok  and no noise. Fluid down a little but could be due to brake wear,none on the slave cyl.
Master cyl I year old slave orginal.
anyone have the spec for freeplay on the clutch lever on the bellhousing, bently does not seem to have it?
