I just keep a bag of all kinds of misc stuff.. pieces of pipes for joining hoses .. various small this n' that's hose wise. Plugs ..like say you want to block off a heater hose. stuff like that. it's a bag of that stuff I take on any trip, in serveral types of cars... so I don't try to hard to make it vanagon speific. I just save whatever is left over from doing engine conversions. It's saved me a few times. scott www.turbovans.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rocket J Squirrel" <camping.elliott@GMAIL.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Thursday, August 25, 2011 11:33 AM Subject: Re: Don't Leave Home Without Them: Hoses/Clamps > Did this turn into The Dave McNeely Show? > > No love for the original question? > > For a 1.9L auto trans Vanagon, what might be a good assortment of > hose clamps and spare hoses or hose bits to bring along on a > 1,000-mile drive in hot conditions? > > -- RJS
