I was in the process of ordering a surepower 1314, and got a note back from the vendors saying that none will be available until mid-September do to a recall.

I inquired as to why, and this was the response:

...overheat, circuit failure, and on rare occasions, causes fires.

So, with that said, it may be worth a call into sure power with your serial model number to see if it is part of the the group that was recalled.
