I'm a sucker for a two-tone paint job. I've got an '84 Vanagon of the same
color as the one in the ad. I already had two Vanagons, (a really nice '85
Westfalia and a beat-up '87 Wolfsburg that I really should get rid of) but
saw this beautiful '84 online for only $800 and decided I had to have it. I
put just under $1,000 into it, mostly on a new exhaust. I wouldn't think the
seller would get $5,000 for that one, but some people just don't research
what similar ones are selling for before they post their ad.
