I like two tone paint jobs, too, but not that much! And someone else already pointed out, where did the new points and condenser go, the glove box? It could also be (and this is my absolute hands down favorite from sellers with over-priced cars) "Well, the car I want to buy is $5,000.00, so I need to get $5,000.00 for this (worth $1,200.00 POC) car in order to buy the other one" I wish this was a 5K Vanagon, then my '85 Weekender would be worth around 22K. I have new "breaks" too, but no new points.... Jeff Jeff Stewart ----- Original Message ----- I'm a sucker for a two-tone paint job. I've got an '84 Vanagon of the same color as the one in the ad. I already had two Vanagons, (a really nice '85 Westfalia and a beat-up '87 Wolfsburg that I really should get rid of) but saw this beautiful '84 online for only $800 and decided I had to have it. I put just under $1,000 into it, mostly on a new exhaust. I wouldn't think the seller would get $5,000 for that one, but some people just don't research what similar ones are selling for before they post their ad. Good luck, Nicole, you're gonna need it!! >
