Not for my jvc the stereo itself will just clear the sleeve wont make it the
corners need to be manipulated to accept the corners by using a file or
other metalworking tool

I've seen this reference twice in this thread - I'm not disputing it at all
- however I've always used one of those metal instalation "sleeve" when
installing a new unit and I wonder if this gets around the rounded corners
isuue.
