Hi, I am in the middle of re-sealing my gas supply system. I recently did the gas tank reseal, complete with the bits of hoses to the expansion tanks. Unfortunately, I didn't have any hose to replace the gas tank->fuel pump, and the gas return into the tank. Of course, now that I am going to do those two bits of hoses, I have a full tank of gas :-( I got the right size for the gas tank->fuel pump and got it installed with only minor spillage (outside). I slid the crawler over to the driver's side, crept under the propane tank and cut a piece of the same (large) size of gas line. Disconnecting the hose from the gas tank, I watched as it poured out of a much smaller pipe than the outlet... the piece of hose in my hand (12 mm?) was just too huge. A bit stunned, I shoved the old piece of hose back on, clamped it down and am letting the ample spillage (I was a bit dumbstruck) evaporate. Does anyone know what size of hose the "return" on the gas tank of a 1991 Westfalia/Vanagon is? Also, I made an assumption that this would be low pressure fuel line, not the higher pressure injector hose. Was that a correct assumption? Thanks, Steve W.
