Strange, as these aren't the colors of wires I have. I have managed to get the front right and both rear speakers working. Of the two wires on the front left, one has continuity to a wire that makes sense to connect to the stereo, the other measures no continuity to anything. I may just run new wires to the front speakers, at least the front left. This 3 speaker stereo system just won't cut it! -Craig On Sun, Sep 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM, Mike <mbucchino@charter.net> wrote: > DIN 47 002 standard for German wiring color code tells the real story. > > Here's some info, in the meantime; > > http://www.installdr.com/**Harnesses/VW-Wiring.asp<http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/VW-Wiring.asp> > > >1990 1990> > Right rear + Blue/Green Blue > Right rear - Brown/Red Tan/Blue > Right front + Red/White Red > Right front - Brown/White Tan/Red > Left front + Black Blue/White > Left front - Brown/Blue Tan/White > Left rear + Blue/Green Red/Green > Left rear - Brown/Red Tan/Green > > Mike B. > > -----Original Message----- From: craig cowan > Sent: Sunday, September 11, 2011 7:23 AM > > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Stereo wires don't match up > > Yes indeed. .This is the process I've been working with.
