This one is "butter knife safe": http://www.carshopinc.com/product_info.php/products_id/120623/406-220 Cheers, Jeff -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Schwaia [mailto:vw.doka@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 4:16 PM To: 'Vanagon' Cc: '<vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM>' Subject: RE: High quality two pole 60A wiring connectors Put them inside a nice plastic box with a lid. Or put some plastic screw-on covers over the studs. Not too difficult to make it butter knife safe. Not a lot of room for a recessed box on the wall behind the battery. Your other choice would be to use a special connector like the tow trucks have for jumper cables. But then you'll need the special jumper cables as well. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon [mailto:camping.elliott@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2011 4:06 PM To: Jeff Schwaia Cc: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Subject: Re: High quality two pole 60A wiring connectors Gracious me! I sure don't want a couple of bare metal posts protruding from the back of the battery compartment, just waiting for a fallen butter knife to bridge and ignite the whole darn van! Something with recessed contacts would be preferable. But many thanks for the suggestion! Looks dangerous -- you go first. Sent from my smartphone with tiny screen & even tinier keypad.
