Dennis, the specified pressure for the 185R14 C or D according to VW is 43 psi front, 53 psi rear for the camper. Does this mean as equipped, and if load is added the pressure should be increased? I have never done so, and the vehicle handles well. Actually, I am running 195R14 D tires (Kumho 857). The maximum pressure for this tire is (as printed on the sidewall) 65 psi. mcneely ---- Dennis Haynes <d23haynes57@HOTMAIL.COM> wrote: > The maximum load rating only happens at the maximum inflation pressure. > > Dennis > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of > Kim Brennan > Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2011 10:38 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: New tires > > The stock tire was a REINFORCED tire.
