another thing to consider is that the larger overall wheel/tire combo resulting in lower revs/mile ma be ok for hwy travel, it does affect the G gear on syncros and depending on the torque curve of the engine involved, can be a detriment when crawling over rough terrain. I found the G gear to be very useful negotiating steep ditches, slowly and carefully. alistair On 2011-10-12, at 8:15 PM, Roger Whittaker wrote: > dear tires bigger n better > there are many questions you must answer before you select a tire > where do you live > what sort of roads do you travel on -- rocky off road --- wet highway -- ice > roads --- sandy roads > what sort of paces do you put your west through -- big loads --- no loads-- > the answers to these questions and likely some more from your tire guy will > help you decide > good luck > regards > > On Wednesday, October 12, 2011, Robert Stevens <mtbiker62@gmail.com> wrote: >> On Oct 12, 2011, at 8:34 PM, craig cowan wrote: >> >>> Ya, i've been meaning to fix that post.... >>> Rod escaped. >> >> Aren't you going to have a Bostig Zetec "Relocation" party some time > soon? ;-) >> >> bob > > -- > roger w > From Proverbs: > Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up: a > servant who becomes king ... > ---------------------------------------------------------- > Explore printed work at: http://www.prliving.ca/ > View the growing list of video work at: > http://www.prpeak.com/articles/2010/11/29/multimedia/video/doc4c62e5f80d228504902172.txt
