I bought an old Vespa scooter a few years ago with rust and a frozen motor. I bought it for yard sculpture and it does very nicely in that capacity. I guess a splitty could be nice yard sculpture...in some neighborhoods. But then, a Vespa was once exhibited in the Guggenheim museum in New York as an example of Italian design; I doubt the early VW Van has had that honor, though I have no doubt it deserves it.
